France, Italy and Monaco

Just finished up the first half of spring break! After Mallorca we hopped on a plane together and headed to Nice at 3:30am. We were all so exhausted, but managed to make it to our Airbnb. Our Airbnb was right by the water and so we walked out to the water and saw the most striking blue water and white pebbled beach.

The water was extremely cold, but people were still swimming as onlookers watched, all bundled in their coats. Once we saw the beach, we continued to walk around the town. The next day (or maybe the same day?) we stayed busy by climbing up a huge flight of stairs to see over the top of Nice. The view was stunning and it made the climb worth it. Then we headed to old town, which was definitely my favorite part. The streets were itty bitty, and the vendors were out on the street. Nice wasn't too expensive and old town was pretty cheap compared to the rest of the city. However we still were balling on a budget so we made our own charcuterie assortment and bought bread for sandwiches, which ended up saving us a ton of money.
The timeline is sort of fuzzy because we were constantly on the go, but we also did end up taking a train to Montecarlo. Holy moly, Montecarlo was one of the prettiest and most expensive cities I'd ever seen. Everything was designer or covered in gold and so we managed to just look around and not buy anything. We also went to a little French city right next to Italy. It was so close that we decided to just walk over the border and enter Italy. It was so strange becuase no one batted and eye or asked to see our passports. We just walked over the border. This meant that we had been to 3 countries in 1 day (Monaco/Montecarlo, France and Italy).

Two members of our group left Friday morning and so my friend Sydney and I went on a day trip. We took a train to the little town of Antibes, and I will say hands down this is in my top 5 favorite cities. It was a fairy tale dream with colorful buildings, shining sun and chattering people. Every corner we turned was gorgeous and I felt so welcomed. This little town also had an amazing coastline that was calm. I felt relaxed the entire time and just constantly felt in awe of the little buildings and colorful shops (as seen below).

Overall:
Nice 9/10, I wish I would have tried more food here and I also wish it would have been easier to access grocery stores. Overall the French people were super nice and I didn't have any bad interactions. The beach and old town were definitely my favorite parts and I would absolutely go back and stay again.
Montecarlo: 7/10, if I were rich it would get a 10/10 because then I could buy anything I wanted and drive a fancy sports car up and down the streets. We stared at the yachts for so long that it made me dream about what it would be like to be a millionaire. Great views and a very interesting place to see.
Antibes 15/10, absolutely spectacular I loved the buildings and the market. The warm feeling was contagious and made me want to skip down the street. I would love to grow old in Antibes and live my best life.
Italy: ?/10, I was there for maybe 15 minutes and didn't actually get close enough to a town but I can say I crossed into Italy so I guess that counts for something!
Now I'm in Switzerland with my friend Mana and my goodness just wait for the pictures for the next blog post becuase they are BREATHTAKING. Sending everyone love ❤️ also if you text my regular phone number on iMessage I won't see it so please feel free to WhatsApp me.
